We started the Reykjavik Food Walk because we wanted visitors to experience our hometown the way we do: through great food, local stories, and the places we genuinely love ourselves. We believe the best way to experience Reykjavik is like a local. Not from a bus window and not by following the same old tourist checklist, but by walking the city, tasting its food, hearing its stories, and discovering the places locals genuinely love.

What began as a simple idea has grown into one of Reykjavik’s most loved tour experiences, welcoming more than 150,000 guests and earning 19,000+ 5-star reviews on TripAdvisor. But what matters most to us is not just the recognition. It is the fact that so many guests leave feeling like they have truly connected with Reykjavik, its food, and its culture.
